Do you keep dogs around your horses?

Our horses are used to dogs and our dogs are used to horses. They keep them safe. We live in the country and there are cougars and bears and coyotes and foxes so we allow our dogs to run loose and we also raise rabbits and the dogs keep those predators out of our barns.
