Yes, I have always taken this view. As for the businesses that oppose the NI rise and say it will cost jobs, what a load of tosh, they only employ people they need, so how can they get rid of anyone? We shouldn't be surprised as they said the same thing about the minimum wage, that it would cost jobs, but did it? No, it didn't. Ask yourself this question, do you think that your boss would look after yours and the countries financial interests above his and the shareholders? I know what I believe the answer to be. Some of these economists do have Labour ties, so I suspect a few will mention this, but the vast majority have no ties with Labour.
