What's the explanation for volcanic rocks on the northern edge of the Himalayas?

C. The Indian continent was once separated from the Eurasian continent by oceanic crust, which was the first to subduct. At the Wadati-Benioff Zone, molten material in the subducting slab floats back to the surface, where it generates plutons - pockets of igneous rock - and raises the continental crust of the overlying plate.
